Billy Mills was born in Dublin in 1954. He lived in Barcelona from 1986 to 1989, and then in Eastbourne, where he worked teaching English to foreign students. He returned to Dublin and worked as a local history researcher on a community employment scheme and as a part-time teacher. He now lives in Limerick where he works for a leading scientific publisher. He is founder and co-editor (with Catherine Walsh) of hardPressed Poetry and the Journal. His many books of poetry include Letters from Barcelona, Logical Fallacies and most recently The City Itself.
