Kevin Barry

Kevin Barry

Kevin Barry is the author of the novels Beatlebone and City Of Bohane and the story collections Dark Lies The Island and There Are Little Kingdoms. His awards include the IMPAC Dublin City Literary Award, the Goldsmith’s Prize, the Sunday Times EFG Short Story Prize and the European Union Prize for Literature. His stories have appeared in the New Yorker, Granta, the Stinging Fly and many other journals. His work has been translated into 22 languages. He also writes plays, screenplays and radio plays. His play Autumn Royal tours this year and his feature film, Dark Lies The Island, opens in the second half of the year. He lives in County Sligo.
